Rochester Riverside hosts a visit from the Rochester Rotary Club
Rochester Riverside was proud to host the Rochester Rotary Club for a site tour of the 1,400-home waterfront community being developed by Countryside and Hyde.
The visit was organised and hosted by Countryside’s Community Liaison Officer and Construction team, who shared the vision for the 52-acre site and showcased the completed areas of the development.
The tour included the new, landscaped public plaza, which has provided an inviting entrance to Rochester Riverside from Rochester Station. The plaza incorporates an 81-bed Travelodge hotel, Co-op and Costa, demonstrating the range of new commercial facilities that the development is providing. This new public realm highlights the swift progress that has been made on site, with the first residents having moved in this summer and 83 homes completed so far.
The Rotary Club were also able to see the build in action as construction continues at pace across the first three phases of the development, as well as being guided around the contemporary four-bedroom show home by the sales and marketing team.
The site tour demonstrated the contribution that Rochester Riverside has made to the local community and the partnerships that have been formed. Established earlier this year, the Rochester Riverside Community Board supports a number of local community initiatives with £30,000 of annual funding, while Rochester Riverside has also organised creative arts workshops for local schoolchildren and hosted free events for Medway residents.
This visit enabled Rochester Riverside to explore several future opportunities to collaborate with the Rotary Group on projects for the benefit of the Rochester community. As the transformation of Rochester Riverside continues, we are proud to be welcoming the local community to the development – demonstrating our pride in the high-quality homes that we are delivering.
