Rochester Riverside resident scoops prize as households showcase their rainbows
Residents across Rochester Riverside, Countryside and Hyde’s landmark regeneration scheme, have been busy putting pens to paper to craft their very own rainbows to thank NHS and key workers across Medway for their unwavering dedication and support during the Coronavirus.
And as part of a competition run by Countryside to encourage residents to show their support, one lucky resident has scooped a £50 John Lewis voucher to spend online for their design. Maisy, @ParkesMai, designed her very own rainbow lampshade, complete with the famous NHS emblem, and showcased her creation in the window of her home.
Keen to demonstrate their gratitude and spread a little hope and cheer, a number of residents at the development took part and shared their designs that included paintings, drawings, and even a crochet rainbow. The Countryside sales team also showed their support by displaying a giant rainbow in the window of the currently closed on site sales and marketing suite.
The number of imaginative rainbows displayed is a testament to the depth of appreciation felt among residents at Rochester Riverside for the NHS and the flourishing community spirit at the development.
Rochester Riverside is Countryside and Hyde’s £419m landmark scheme and a thriving new community in Medway. Over the next 12 years, the development will create up to 1,400 new homes and facilities for the area, with a number of new homes and amenities already complete at the development. This includes 91 homes, a new Co-op supermarket, a Costa Coffee shop, and a Travelodge hotel, with provisions for a school and nursery to cater to the numerous families already living at the development. Countryside and Hyde will also create a play area and a 2.5km river walkway as part of the project.
