Rochester Riverside supports bug house building sessions for local schoolchildren
Rochester Riverside continued its support of the next generation of Medway’s artistic talent through an exciting creative workshop for pupils from St Margaret’s at Troy Town CofE Primary School. Organised by public art consultancy, FrancisKnight, on behalf of Rochester Riverside, artist Katayoun Dowlatshahi worked with school pupils to build a new bug house for the school.
Rochester in focus as Medway schoolchildren showcase their photographic talent
Sixteen Medway schoolchildren have put their photographic talent on display in a gallery exhibition hosted at the Rochester Riverside marketing suite. The school pupils took part in a crowdfunded photography project that was supported by Rochester Riverside, Countryside and Hyde’s landmark £419m regeneration scheme on the banks of the River Medway.
Medway Neuro-Arts Festival launches
The Medway Neurological Network has launched the Medway Neuro-Arts Festival, which has been part-funded this year through a £5,000 grant from the Rochester Riverside Community Board. The grant was handed over by Community Board member and Medway Deputy Mayor Cllr Habib Tejan in a ceremony held at the Rochester Community Hub.

Bright, young apprentices build their future at Rochester Riverside
Rochester Riverside, Countryside and Hyde’s £419m regeneration scheme that is delivering 1,400 new homes on the banks of the River Medway, is supporting the young people of Medway through an apprenticeship scheme with Joe Brennan Training (JBT). National Apprenticeship Week runs from the 4th March, and Rochester Riverside is proud of its commitment to apprentices, with five apprentices currently working on-site through the Rochester Riverside Apprentice Training Programme.

Rochester Riverside was delighted to support a careers fair for young pupils of The Robert Napier School in Gillingham on Thursday 14 February. Aimed at Year 8 pupils, as well as those from Year 12 and 13, the workshop was designed to help the students make informed choices about their future educational options.
